Reason for the Season

It’s one of those phrases that Church people love to say this time of year… “Jesus is the reason for the season.”  I fully believe it, but I wonder how many others really understand the size of the event we celebrate at this time of year.  God… the same one that created everything you know about and everything you don’t… pulled off a huge miracle in Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection.  None of that happens without this time of year!

This baby is so great and greatly to be praised!  Worship Him with your lives and live to honour Him.  He deserves to be the focus of our attention each day of the year!  Why not take a few minutes right now and thank Him for what He has done in your life and for His miraculous provision!

This Week

Last Night

Last night I feel that I didn’t do a great job of conveying how big this principle is to the Christ follower’s life.  Seeing the need is only part, but going the next step to meeting the need is so important.  I found this clip from Hillsong and thought I’d pass it along… check it out.  And if you have some time, check out Matthew 22:33-40 and see what Jesus biggest priorities are.  Are they yours?

Vacation Time

I am going to take a break this week, so if you need anything  just call the church and they can direct you to someone in the know.  Thursday will go on as usual, so come out and make it great!

Quick Note:  If you feel sick, please stay away… we don’t want your flu.  My understanding is that the schools around the area are all taking a number hit during this season cause people are sick.  Take care of yourself and we’ll catch up when you’re feeling better.

Sick Days

I realize that all of you have been feeling like something’s missing because I haven’t been around for about a week with this stinking flu!  Sorry there has been no blog updates for a while… I was sick!
